Mission

 

             The mission of the Arizona Association of Chicanos in Higher Education (AACHE)-Yuma chapter is to promote equitable educational and employment opportunities at Arizona Western College and the Yuma and La Paz communities. This mission is accomplished through faculty recruitment, retention efforts, scholarship programs, leadership workshops, community involvement, and the participation in the annual AACHE conference. AACHE-Yuma chapter provides a forum of discussion for higher education issues concerning Chicano faculty, staff, students, and other under-represented groups, and seeks workable solutions through collaboration and meaningful partnership
